Decorate a Fish to Display in the Library!

April 1 – April 30

We’re celebrating Earth Day and the Black Earth Creek Watershed Association! Starting April 1, all ages are invited to pick up a special grab bag containing a paper fish and some crafty items that you can use to decorate it. Then bring your fish back to display in the library throughout April. We’ll have other fun activities in the library all month, too. Feel free to color a paper wildflower to hang up, go fishing for toy fish, and search for the hidden picture of a Brown Trout to earn a piece of candy.

Earth Day & Black Earth Creek Watershed Association Celebration

Friday, April 26 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The whole family is invited to our Earth Day and Black Earth Creek Watershed Association Celebration. Make simple bird feeders, go on a nature scavenger hunt in the library, and eat some snacks to celebrate the Black Earth Creek and Watershed. Perfect for your day off of school.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten on Beanstack

To get signed up for our 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Club, just visit Beanstack website or download the Beanstack app. All children from birth until the start of Kindergarten are welcome to join. The goal is to encourage you to read 1000 books with your child before the start of school. Not only does this provide a solid reading foundation, and encourage school success, but it’s also a lot of fun! When you’ve finished the program, your child will earn a free book and book bag. (Note: If you have already started this program on paper, feel free to continue on paper or transfer to Beanstack.)
